FotoFinder dermoscope: Software-controlled epiluminescence microscopy
FotoFinder dermoscope enables you to do a long-term observation of nevi through video documentation. The video camera medicam with the unique dermoscopy lens takes brilliant clinical and dermoscopic images with 20 to 70X magnification. The camera is completely software-controlled and thus ensures standardized shooting parameters.
Suspicious lesions are first marked in the clinical image; after this, the dermoscopic images are assigned to the corresponding marks. At regular checks these lesions are photographed again in order to detect changes. The results are obvious: committed patients, a better diagnostic accuracy as well as lower excision rates! The expert system Moleanalyzer is a diagnostic aid for the early detection of malignant melanoma. It analyzes melanocytic lesions and calculates a malignancy score for an instant second opinion.
The FotoFinder standard is immersion dermoscopy. Just add the Polarization Kit if you prefer to work without immersion fluid!
Not all moles have to be saved in the database. In the "screening" section, FotoFinder dermoscope gives you the option to examine moles microscopically without saving the images. Much quicker and more effective than using a hand dermatoscope! The subsequent storage in the database is possible but not obligatory.
