FotoFinder wins Bavarian Export Award
FotoFinder Systems GmbH is the winner of the Bavarian Export Award 2011 in the category "Industry". The selection committee especially recognized the innovative products and the export strategy, with partners all over the globe and customers in more than 60 countries. Furthermore, they pointed out that R&D, production, sales, and technical support were all provided directly from a small town in Bavaria.
We will do our best to keep following the award's slogan "successful without limits".

The history of skin cancer detection would be another one without FotoFinder. 20 years ago, the founders Rudolf and Andreas Mayer started developing technology for mole mapping and skin imaging. Today, several thousand doctors worldwide work with FotoFinder systems to detect skin cancer at an early stage. A variety of analysis functions, an intuitive software and regular innovations mark the cornerstones of the company success.

Following the congress slogan "Connecting the World through Innovative Dermatology" FotoFinder presented its imaging systems for dermatology and cosmetics in South Korea. Several hundred congress participants had the chance to test the new handheld dermatoscope for iPhone, as well as complete systems for skin cancer diagnostics and standardized photo documentation at the FotoFinder booth.
Finally, there was a lucky winner of the handyscope lottery: Kathrin Niemela, head of marketing, congratulated Dr. Chen Sung San from Malaysia on his win.

Mobile skin cancer screening with iPhone
With handyscope, a mobile connected dermatoscope, FotoFinder presents the first device for skin cancer examinations with the iPhone. This digital handheld dermatoscope allows doctors to capture and save microscopic pictures of moles using the iPhone, the handyscope device and the corresponding handyscope App.

Several hundred congress participants convinced themselves of the picture quality of the Full HD medicam 800HD at the FotoFinder booth.
Interesting for many visitors was the visualization software Omorphia which shows possible results of aesthetic treatments.
And there was great enthusiasm for the first presentation of the digital handheld dermatoscope for the iPhone: With handyscope it is easy to
take microscopic pictures of lesions at anytime and anywhere.
Finally, there was a lucky winner of the handyscope lottery: Kathrin Niemela, head of marketing, congratulated Mr. Pedro Torres on his win.

Dear customers,
we would like to inform you that from now on, unfortunately, no more repairs of medicam 400 camera modules are possible!
In 2004 FotoFinder's video dermoscope medicam 400 was replaced by its successor medicam 500. By then core components for the medicam 400 were no longer available in the market. Meanwhile our spare parts for the medicam 400 camera modules are nearly used up. Therefore we cannot guarantee repair works on these modules any longer. However, we will check every repair request thoroughly and try to handle it to your satisfaction. Repairs of connecting cables, illumination and attachments will still be possible. In case of doubt the support team will answer your questions on particular cases: support[at]fotofinder.de.

Using the new D-Scope II plus lens for medicam 500 you can choose between polarization or immersion, according to your workflow, personal preference and application field! The additional polarization kit contains a filter and two top pieces for even and elevated lesions. Simply attach it and take brilliant micro images without any liquid!

Medical photo documentation on the highest level!
The new software generation FotoFinder mediscope 2007 combines high-duty imaging software for clinical photography with whole body mapping on the basis of Microsoft SQL Server 2005. The program allows patient oriented data and image storage and at the same time makes sure that all important settings of the digital camera are controlled via CamControl.
In the field of clinical documentation FotoFinder mediscope 2007 offers a wide range of features for standardized before/after photography. The software can distinguish between baseline and follow-up image and allows the user to group images by treatment (e.g. botox treatments) or by visit (all images taken on the same date).
The optional 'Body Mapping' module offers reproducible photography according to a standarized capturing scheme.
The image capturing process works with the aid of the Databased CamControl technology: this means all camera parameters are intelligently software-controlled. You simply choose which kind of image you want to capture (e.g. portrait) point and shoot. The image appears in full resolution on the screen. If you are happy with the results you can store the image in the corresponding patient database with one more mouse click. [September 2007]
